Lowest fare guarantee frustration

Submitted fare guarantee form after finding a $150 pp rate drop. Denied due to not being on Early Saver rate that wasn't even offered when I signed up (4 months out). How can it be a guarantee if you don.t get the restrictions until you are denied? Only looking for OBC, not a refund.....

Are you really asking this question? Go back and reaqd the question again. The answer is right there. What do you expect?

Early Saver is the only way you can book to get the price protection. i know it sucks but always try to plan the trip far out in advance to book under that rate.

You can get price drops with any fare you book before final payment. Once you have paid in full the only way to get anything is to have an early saver booking.

There are restrictions on that type of booking and it is not offered so not always available. The rules that govern your booking are listed when you book so this should not be a surprise for you!

This is the description of the Lowest Price Guarantee:

 

 

If you find a better Carnival advertised deal somewhere else within two days of booking your cruise, we'll not only be very surprised — we'll give you 110% of the difference in onboard credit. You can be confident that our prices are the lowest, so you can get on to more important things... like counting down the days until you sail!

 

You'll have 48 hours from the time you book to find a lower price.

Carnival will give you 110% of the difference in onboard credit.

Lowest Price Guarantee only applies to publicly available rates.

Just an FYI - The Lowest Price Guarantee is only for 2 days (quoted directly from Carnival's site) ....

Huh? The lowest price guarantee is only for a short time. Otherwise if you are looking for long term protection you have to book Early Saver which you didn't. You answered your own rant.

But this is not always true if you booked a fully refundable just call and ask them to rebook you at the lower rate. You can do this all the way up until the Final payment date. Early Saver provides the protection AFTER the final payment only...
