GSC Beaches

Are there any beach areas at GSC that have an all sandy bottom? We were there in 2011 and wished we had water shoes, (which I hate) rocky bottom everywhere. As I understand there have been improvements since 2011 hopefully the rocky bottom issue. Thanks

You know...beaches and sand or not, is really dictated by wind, tides and storms. Some beaches grow every year, and some get smaller and smaller. How much "sand" is underfoot is really dependent on how the weather has been.

 

I, too, hate water shoes....leaves a freaky tan line....so ugly! I would suggest bringing them...but don't wear them unless you need to. My tootsies must be a tad tough, since I've never found them necessary!
