Cruise Prices

I don't know, but almost every cruise web site I go on has the identical cost for the same cruise. I fill in the ship info and it seems I get taken to the same pricing screen even though I started on different web sites. I'm interested in RCCL. Is no one discounting?? Should I call to try and get a better rate?? Any suggestions for a cruise company or cruise web site would be helpful.

I believe that the cruisecritic rules prohibit recommending travel agents, or specific on-line cruise travel agents.

Royal Caribbean prohibits discounting and has done so for many months. This gives you an apportunity to select your travel agent based on the level of service provided.

Since RCCL no longer allows TAs to discount fares, generally the only time you will see less expensive fare is if a TA buys a block of cabins. Some TAs are trying to off-set this by offering perks such as free insurance, but that is about all they can do.

Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Norwegian do not allow discounting which is why you see the prices the same. Some agencies give free shore excursions or other things in an effort to compete. The best thing is to choose an agency that gives you service. And when on-line, never book with an on-line company that doesn't have a phone number and a real person on the other end of the line.

Some agents will have promo's, Less than the cruisline.... with cabin credit and be cheaper than the cruisline.. You need to call them and ask what they have ....

Also, be sure to check the price of your booked cruise periodically to check for price breaks.
