Latest Time to Fly into ANC for Prince William Sound Cruise?

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm usually pretty good at figuring out keywords for a search, but I'm not sure that I'll find anything that answers what I want. If there are posts that already address my question in the title, please point me to them and let me know what keywords you used to find them.

 

If nothing addresses it already, does anyone know? My mom and I would like to fly in on the day of rather than a day before. She would prefer taking a later flight that would arrive at 10:30am, but I'm concerned with the tunnel into Whittier that this would mean missing one of the Prince William Sound Cruises.

you are correct. A flight arriving at 10:30am would not give you enough time to make a cruise. The cruises depart between 12 and 1 so you need to make the 10:30AM or 11:30am tunnel opening depending on which cruise you choose.

 

And unless you have a rental car from AVIS, you will be at the mercy of the transfer company's schedule. With a rental car you would have to land by 8:30/9 am. Budget an hour to get your luggage and complete paperwork for the car, then an hour to reach the tunnel.

 

There should be transfer info and times on the Major Marine or Phillips web sites.
