Anyone have any first hand knowledge regarding the Mystery Dinner that is offered onboard? I hate that it is only offered on embarkation day but I'm wondering if it's worth the money.

We did it once and enjoyed it. The menu is abbreviated, and not the same as the regular dinner menu. The acting is campy and over the top. Unlimited house wine.

We did it once, on the Freedom, and it was fun. We had a nice evening...a good start to a cruise. As stated above, it's rather campy, but they know it's bad acting and that is fun to watch.

Did it in 2011 on the Radiance, did it again 2 months ago and was very disappoint to find it was the same mystery! Still it was entertainment and a fun night. Bada Bing Bada Boom they got my money!

Did it 3 times on the explorer and had a blast each and every time but it was always on a sea day later in the cruise. Always had a wonderful dinner and plenty of wine and some very cheesy acting.

....we're new to cruising and I was so delighted to see this as an on-board experience option. I'm looking forward to it!

We did it once and had a blast. Unlimited champagne, good food, yes campy acting but it was just fun. Great way to meet people, as you are discussing who done it!

I think it is offered on most cruises....i would definitely do it once! It is fun and campy, and the dinner is good with lots of house wine. The possible murder suspects go around to various tables (at least when we did it) so you can ask them questions. I guess I cross examined them too much, because several of the actors asked if I was an attorney...which I am! Anyhow, it is a very entertaining evening. And if you guess the murderer right, you are entered into a drawing to win....I think our winner got a bottle of wine. Go for it!

It's offered on Explorer. Don't know about Radiance.
