Good news for the lady who was affronted by RC's use of foil-wrapped butter!

We have a winner....

So, they put butter in the foil containers for sanitary purposes, but the germ-a-phobes demand that the *outside* has to be sanitized before they will touch them. Good grief - be sure to not touch the silverware that someone has previously put in their mouth...

We were on a cruise and sitting at dinner with another couple we did not know and after the first night we never used the butter if she was at the table. She would take her roll and dip it in the butter after every bite. In all the cruises we have done this was the first for this and the worst table mates we every had. There is nothing wrong with the wrapped butter pats in my mind.

When my DH and I are out to dinner, and I see either something on my plate that is not as I ordered it, or something in the restaurant/service that is not correct/fair/acceptable , I see a look of terror cross his face because he knows that I'm about TO SPEAK UP !!!! (I'm sure that you are a very nice person, who didn't want to embarrass her, or cause a scene at your table but....) There would be NO WAY that I could not say something to her immediately, as politely as possible, that her behavior/actions HAD TO STOP!!!! I would then call the waiter over, ask for as many butter containers as there were diners and then after dinner, request a new table for the rest of the cruise. Don't subject yourself to ignorant people (no reason for it in this day and age - no matter where you are or where they're from!)

I could only picture the look on my husband's face, as he sees me watching her do this at our table!!! He'd be thinking "OH, NO, Take Cover!!!" :D
