Daytona 500

Does anyone know if they will show the Daytona 500 on the big screen on Sunday? Or maybe in one of the bars? Also wondering if Princess has Fox TV as one of the in room channels.

I have seen the Daytona 500 on a sister ship (Carnival Valor) while in San Juan. It was on in stateroom and sports bar but not on big tv on deck.

Not ever shown, if you want to see it cruise at a different time or maybe try to see if you can pick it up on your computer (weather and service) dependent.

Just wondering if the Daytona 500 was on last year? I am going to be on the Emerald this year during the race - I would love to catch it on the big MUTS screen.

We were on the ship last year, and they did not have Fox TV. So, no, we did not get the Daytona 500.

Fox News channel is a different channel than Fox TV, which you might be unaware. Just like NBC, MSNBC and NBC Sports are all different channels despite NBC in the name.

 

Some of the football games are on Fox TV, so they do show some Fox TV broadcasts on MUTS.

 

The Daytona 500 is scheduled after the football season, there would be no conflict with this. It is more a matter of they pay the licensing fee to show this event.

I've been on 2 different cruises while the race was on and never saw it play on MUTS. It would be pretty impressive with that sound system!
