specialty restaurant charge

I can buy dinner on line before the cruise for $29 (pinnacle Grill) or $10 at Canelleto (ryndam). Is the price the same on board? Is an evening at LeCirque worth $49...whatever it is?

Yes. There's a bundled specialty restaurant package you can buy that carries a slight discount, but you can't make your reservation dates and times. We forgo the bundle's savings in order to to choose our own reservation times.

The Le Cirque experience is it's own. here you can read about it and decide for yourself:

We enjoyed Pinnacle Grill, but don't need to do that very often, as we aren't big steak eaters and we like the MDR. We did book Tamarind for our next cruise. We love those kinds of foods.

We also prefer to book the days and times we want to dine in the specialty restaurants so we don't buy the "bundle" package just to save a few dollars.

There are no discounts for any of the specialty restaurants once you get on the ship.

The only people who get discounts are the 3 star Mariners -- 25% off and the 4 and 5 star Mariners get 50% off.

Le Cirque -- we feel it is worth the $49 per person. JMO

We absolutely love Le Cirque, and did it two out of thee weeks at the end of last year.

Here are two sets of photographs from dinner at Le Cirque. The first was when we dined there with Cruz Chic in November. The second was from December when we dined with DFIL.

There have been some slight changes to the menu since we last ate there. (It changed the following week.) Roger (Crew News) scanned the new version and you can get it from his website here:

My advice would be to read the menu to see if it appeals to you. It's more of a foody experience than the regular Pinnacle Grill menu. They're both good, so it depends on what you like.
