dszrew Posted September 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2005 OK, another tipping question--do you tip when you order from room service? Is it your steward who brings the food (in which case he gets tipped at the end of the cruise anyway), or is it someone else?
SANDY BEACH Posted September 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2005 Normally our room steward is not the person delivering our room service. We tip each time we order. I find it much easier that way.
CaliforniaDreamin Posted September 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2005 On our last 14 night cruise our room steward always delivered room service breakfast (coffee, juice, danish). I tipped her each time. At end of cruise I tipped her recommended tip and added a few extra dollars.
katiel53 Posted September 2, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2005 We haven't been on a 14 day cruise, but on our 7 day cruises, it was not our cabin steward who delivered our room service meals. We only ordered breakfast, and if only ordering coffee and danish, we tipped $2.00. If we ordered a full breakfast (CC allows that, not that we have stayed in suites) we tipped $5.00. We didn't order room service for other meals, but I would think if I ordered dinner from room service and it were a regular meal as served in the dining room, I would probably tip $5.00 per person.
