Rare crewsweeper Posted February 20, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Don't miss the Tandoor Fish! Especially if they bring the tray out fresh! Yum. Naan can be a tad on the heavy side.
cadamson Posted February 20, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Thanks for the menu. I've never had Indian food before so I would love to give a try. What do you like about the fish? Is it spicy (I like spicy foods)?
BigB0882 Posted February 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2015 I love Indian food and am so excited to go on the Dream which has a Tandoor! I will probably eat it for lunch every day if it is good. :) The reviews have been great, even people who seem to be know good Indian food have really liked it. KarenMF Posted February 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Which ships have the Tandoor? Or more specifically, does the Conquest have it?
falkcor Posted February 20, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Which ships have the Tandoor? Or more specifically, does the Conquest have it? splendor, dream, magic and breeze, so it's not on conquest.
SadieN Posted February 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Splendor and newer ships have it. The Pineapple Chutney is very good over ice cream.
Hazelroo Posted February 21, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 21, 2015 There was different food every day on the Splendor in November and it was all delicious. I was very impressed and ate there many times. I would plan to try something different but always ended up back at the Tandoor! :)
JohnSpo Posted February 21, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 21, 2015 The Tandoor is excellent. I think it is much better than the Indian entree they serve in the MDR.

Out to sea! Posted February 21, 2015 #17 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Free. Only open at lunch. There is an Indian Vegetarian entree every night at dinner. That's the problem, I need some kind of meat dish. Wife would enjoy the veggie options but at least give me chicken with some sauce that will burn my butt the next morning! :D
Velvetwater Posted February 21, 2015 #18 Share Posted February 21, 2015 It would have been cool to sail on a ship with a tandoor! I think though Carnival seems to be phasing it out though so by the time I sail one of the ships that has it it will be gone. :( Looks delicious! Rare sid_9169 Posted February 21, 2015 #20 Share Posted February 21, 2015 The Tandoor is AWESOME... I ate there every day for lunch on my last 2 Breeze trips... Also, they have different selections on different days. My favorite food on Carnival ships...
BigB0882 Posted February 21, 2015 #21 Share Posted February 21, 2015 How do you request the specialty Indian meal in advance on the first night? I would love the Chicken Tikka Massala but it is only available for dinner the first night. Should I go straight to the MDR once aboard and put in my request? I supposed I could also just go to the MDR for lunch the next day (I didn't even know the MDR did lunch) but I could just go to the Tandoor and have more options so I'd rather try the tikka massala for dinner on night one. wareaglefan Posted February 21, 2015 #22 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Hearing so many great reviews on the Tandoor I couldn't wait to try it on the Breeze in January. I can usually eat anything and enjoy the taste, but I couldn't eat it at all. Don't even remember what I got.:(

BigB0882 Posted February 21, 2015 #25 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Naan is a type of flat bread. It is amazing when done right. They use it to scoop up the food and sauces.
