Grand Turk

This just dawned on me, and curious, does anyone have any ideas why RCL doesn't have Grand Turk as a port stop? It wasn't until I specifically looked for a cruise that stopped there that I realised RCL doesn't.

I believe it may be because Carnival Corporation owns the port facility in GT. If so, then it's limited to the Carnival brands (CCL, Princes, HAL, Costa, etc.). I'm sure others here will have some additional input.

Edit: I knew I read this somewhere recently and it was mentioned in an article about Carnival's new Dominican Republic port at Amber Cove. The article mentioned the GT cruise center was Carnival's as well.

Carnival Corp owns the cruise ship dock on Grand Turk and Carnival Corp ships get priority on the docking schedule. There's a lot of other choices for destinations in the Caribbean and I guess the non-Carnival cruise lines would rather go somewhere else than deal with Carnival.
