Up sell offer for four?

Received an upsell offer today, from inside to balcony for $129 pp, a little confused for a couple reasons. When I look for availability on their website for a cabin for 4 for my sailing it shows they are all sold out. Lots of balconies available when 2 people per stateroom is plugged in. Do they just send out to everyone with a certain type of cabin, and when I call they'll tell me there aren't any actual cabins available for us? Just seems odd they would even send one if there really weren't any balconies for four available...

 

I left a message for a call back, so hopefully I'll know more tomorrow, just curious!

They have cabins on hold that you can't see. ;)

When they send out the message, a cabin should be available.

 

Since they send it usually to multiple passengers, it is possible that under "first to respond, first to get it" could mean by they time you speak with them the offer(s) have already been taken.

Soooo... Scored one of those sweet caribe balconies I'm always reading about on here, and the best part is the $129 pp only applied to the first two people on the reservation, the kids' fare didn't change :)

Received up sell on a Friday a few weeks ago for March 1st Regal, called the next Monday sold out, but called back a week later and they had a cancellation so I was able to upsell for 99.00 per person inside to balcony. That's a little steep if its 129.00 x 4?

It was only $129 x 2
