What cars? I don't think there are any left by the port? Storm ate them all?

 

I feel so bad too!! I think it is getting to everyone now. I am afixed to the TV and just in shock too! Can't even immaging how it is for the Victims, Especially the kids!

Actually the port area sits on some of the higher ground in New Orleans and has NOT flooded. Neither has the French Quarter or the Riverwalk area. I don't know where cars are parked when you leave from a cruise in New Orleans but if it is in the Cruise port area or somewhere near the convention center the cars may still be there and may still be undamaged.

 

But the bigger problem is how do you get back in to pick the cars up? Right now the only people being allowed in are the people providing support for the evacuations and news people. There is a way to drive in as many news people have mentioned but a regular citizen trying to get in to pick up their car after a cruise probably would not be allowed in.

 

If someone who was on the Conquest happens to see this post I would be interested in what they are planning on doing? Good luck.
