Yet Another Drink Package Question

On our last cruise DH decided he wanted the drink package. Since we still had

4 days of the 7 day cruise left I told him we should be fine. When we went to Guest Services they said we could purchase the drink package but, at the full 7 day price. Is this correct???? We naturally decided not to buy it but, it sure left me confused. Also are the tips included with the package now?

On RCI, a drink pkg can be purchased for the remaining days as long as there are at least 4 days left or more.

 

When you purchase the package, the tips will be added to the purchase price on your total. The Listed price of the package no longer includes tips but will be added when purchasing.
