They do a pay as you play charged to your onboard account. The games cost $1 to $5 each play.

 

As an added note if it's for your kids/teens you can request a daily limit to there ob acct. as it doesn't take long to add up. We play darts and pooland can spend as much as drinking.

You can also bring along a video game system to hook up to the TV in the room! We made the mistake on our first NCL cruise with our son (13 at the time), after that he brought his Xbox on the next one!
