Cobaltstargazer Posted March 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Hi all, we are booked on the anthem on the 15th of september, when we booked it cost £3200 for an interior with gratuites paid and $100 each obc also the select drink pkg. I think at the time of booking it was going to cost an extra £400 each for a balacony. Anyway at the time as it is our first cruise we thought we were spending enough. Now i notice all interior rooms are sold out. I'm wondering what the chances are of paying to upgrade to a balcony and do you think it will still cost 400 each or is there a chance the price will change. Still super excited and still think the deal was ok, although it was a booze fuelled booking so maybe didnt shop around as much as i should have. We booked through a local TA. All thoughts are welcome.
Rare DragonOfTheSeas Posted March 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Your best bet is to contact your TA and ask them how much it would be to upgrade and if you would lose any/all of the perks you have if you make a change. Some deals are for new bookings and I know the rules for changes are different on your side of the pond.

We would pay the difference between what we paid and what we would pay today for the new room (except for New Booking and other exceptions)
Merion_Mom Posted March 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Everyone here is correct. There is no question that you CAN upgrade, as long as there is a balcony cabin available. The only question is: What will it cost you? :D
Enforcer Posted March 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Hi, Save your money and spend it on some shwalley. ;) Pete
Merion_Mom Posted March 7, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 7, 2015 The good news is that it is only 98 pounds more than your interior. The bad news is that this is without a drinks package or OBC or pre-paid gratuities. Are you willing to give those up to get a balcony?

Cobaltstargazer Posted March 7, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted March 7, 2015 No not wanting to lose the drinks pkg or the gratuities, any we will see what happens, still really buzzing about the cruise whether it's interior or balcony.
