adele319 Posted March 15, 2015 #28 Share Posted March 15, 2015 The Ultimate Beverage is no longer $55.00 Just on their website for my upcoming cruise in May and it is now $65.00 per day.
Clarea Posted March 15, 2015 #29 Share Posted March 15, 2015 (edited) The Ultimate Beverage is no longer $55.00 Just on their website for my upcoming cruise in May and it is now $65.00 per day. I just looked at this for a 5-day cruise we have coming up. You are correct in that on the opening page of the beverage section, it says $65 per day. But when you add the package to your cart, right before you pay, it shows up as $55 per day, plus a service charge of $9.90 per day, total $64.90 per day. So the price is still $55 per day, before the service charge. Edited March 15, 2015 by clarea

Still shows as £273 when I get to the basket for a 10 night cruise in May .. will I regret it if I leave it any longer?!

GongZuoKuang Posted March 15, 2015 #42 Share Posted March 15, 2015 I really wonder whether they purposely make this so confusing, so that exasperated passengers like me just say, "Heck with it, I'll just get the ultimate package." I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to understand the difference between the premium and the ultimate. On the surface, it's simple: "premium coffee and teas". Then they toss in "unlimited champagne" wording on the ultimate, making it more complicated. So does that mean the premium gets NO champagne? How about something simple like a mimosa in the morning? How about a shot of Bailey's in coffee? How about the martini bar? There are just too many asterisks and stipulations and exceptions. And even if you buy the ultimate package, there are still asterisks and stipulations and exceptions. :-( It's just become one big money suck. counsdr Posted March 15, 2015 #44 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Those Boleros menus may be out of date? http://s284.photobucket.com/user/sdo...h.jpg.html?o=0 http://s284.photobucket.com/user/sdo...t.jpg.html?o=1 http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...&1425857507637 Just off Explorer, only one menu across entire ship. ALL cocktail's are now priced at $10 or more +18% gratuity For instance: B52, was $6.50, now $10 Black Russian, was $6.50, now $10 Ultimate cosmo, was $7, now $10 Beer prices also increased: American premium, was $5.25, now $6.50 Other beers, were $4.75, now $5.50 Menu pushes the beer packages. Definitely out of date as all cocktails are now $10 and wines run $8-22 by the glass $30 and up by the bottle. I just got off Freedom of the Seas today! denatravels Posted March 15, 2015 #47 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Where did you see the champagne exception? Everything I have seen and read (and that's a lot!) says that the alcohol is exactly the same for the premium and the ultimate.

Desert Cruizers Posted March 16, 2015 #49 Share Posted March 16, 2015 That doesn't seem right, DH paid on the ROS this past March/April over $6,00 for Coors, the one I looked at showed $5.25, even with gratuity that is lower then what he paid. he bought the package the latter two cruises. $49/day times 14 = $686. he probably averages 6/day especially on sea days sometimes more. Funbobby68 Posted March 16, 2015 #50 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Sure would have made more sense to raise the bar prices and lowered the package prices, would have most likely kept everyone happy
