Kindle from Princess

It's not really relevant if some people already have a Kindle. I have one also but I'm not going to bad mouth Princess on giving it to others. We received a Samsonite 29 inch suite case on our first cruise (we did not need it then) but thought it was a nice thing for them to do.

That was kinda my point. If you are going to send me something, send me something I can actually use. Not something for me to give away to someone else.

Simply put, accept any gift graciously. It was very nice of Princess to give a gift at all.

I have an older Kindle that I take on every cruise and to the pool in our town when I go. I love it. I bring my iPad and use it in the room at night, but I take my Kindle out to the pool to read.

I appreciated the discussion. I have an iPad mini and want to bring only that as my reading/Internet/game device. Will have to find a non-glare protector.

I agree! In fact, if people would stop sending bills I'd even take a candle let alone a Kindle! :- )

Princess has never sent me a gift. I'd be happy to get it. I'd wonder why, too, but I'd happily accept it.

 

Added: Of course, they did give me a free upgrade to a full suite once, so that was a much appreciated "gift". No complaints.

I jus got off the phone with Princess. When I told the first young lady about getting the Kindle she was surprised and amused. She said she had never heard of such a thing. She called another person and came to tell me that the Kindle was part of a promotion from last year. She could not tell me which cruise (and we took far too many) but that I had earned it. I see from the responses that other folks had received luggage in years past from these promotions-Now we are the happy campers.:D
