UBP Gratuity Question?

I haven't been able to find an answer to this question in my searches. Hope someone can answer for me. I see from my reading that the automatic gratuity on beverages ordered thru the UBP program is now 18%. Is the gratuity included in the plan, or is just the gratuity billed to my cruise account and the cost of the drink covered? Don't want to seem cheap, but just trying to plan ahead.

When you buy the UBP you pay the gratuities based on the cost of the package (i.e. 18% added to the cost of the package).

 

If you get the UBP for free then this includes the gratuities, so you don't pay any extra.
