It is a Partial transit. It goes through the first set of locks to the Lake in the middle. You sail in the lake and then return back out the same set of locks you entered. It does not do all the way through the canal.

I understand it sit in the lake long enough for guests , who wish to purchase the continued tour, to transfer to a smaller ferry type boat which will take you on through the rest of the canal and locks. I understand that you will then board the train for a return trip back across and meet the ship which will then be docked in Colon. We've done the full transit twice, but not this one.

I'm taking same cruise. Don't think it docks. It makes stop once outside canal.
