Boatingmom Posted March 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2015 I have been reading reviews and it appears some felt herded like cattle. Can anybody say anything positive about this excursion? We are traveling with children and don't want to attempt it on our own. I've always wanted to see st john but if it's that bad I will go to magens, coki or emerald. OCruisers Posted March 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2015 It's actually very nice. We've taken this excursion many times! :) Another good one is the Champagne Catamaran Sail to St. John. ;) LuLu
Boatingmom Posted March 12, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Traveling wihh teens so the champagne catamaran is out. Just wondering...did you bring your own snorkel equipment. Red somewhere here that it will give more snorkeling time if not being fitted with gear.
blue_water Posted March 13, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2015 You're usually given the snorkel gear before you arrive to have time to adjust the mask and choose your flippers. Was that the case for you LuLu? Be aware that Trunk, like Coki and Magens, can get crowded on bigger ship days. The ferry on your own is very easy and many families take that option to avoid the queues and herding. But it's a matter of your comfort level and taking the ship excursion is often a nice, worry-free option.
OCruisers Posted March 13, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Yes, on the Champagne Sail all snorkel gear is provided. It's really a fine thing to do with teens and is in no way a wild & crazy party boat. :) LuLu
