beshears Posted March 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2015 Here is another quetion for those of you who have been on the Splendor within the past year. This will be our first time on the Splendor. :) My friend wanted me to ask if there is a Chocolate or Mexican, or any other kind of LATE buffet that the Splendor has? We know there is the buffet on the Lido deck, but I'm not talking about that. My friend has not cruised as much as myself, but I have been on several ships where they have the late chocolate or Mexican buffet, or something else like this. The chocolate buffet is held at lunch time in one section of the buffet area on the last sea day. The Mexican buffet is held at night in connection with one of the deck parties after 10 PM. BlueHonu Posted March 20, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2015 We were just on Splendor last week. Yes chocolate buffet is lunch time on the last sea day. (not advertised in fun times.) Mexican buffet started at 11pm. I think is was the second to last night. Splendor still has the older Vegas style shows with a live band:) Also the old menus. The casino is a smokers paradise. The staff does NOT enforce the only smoking when gamlbling policy. My only complaint of the cruise.
Rare shof515 Posted March 20, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 20, 2015 Yes chocolate buffet is lunch time on the last sea day. (not advertised in fun times.) : it is posted on the fun times, however you have to read it carefully otherwise you will miss it. It is listed under the restaurant hour with the other restaurant hours near the last page I have a copy of the fun times from the splendor last year they had it listed. BlueHonu Posted March 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2015 I guess we missed it. We looked over the fun times carefully, but might not have looked under that part. Luckily we know when they usually have it and got our choc covered pinapple. Yum!
Maraprince Posted March 21, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2015 The lunchtime chocolate buffet is located in the very back section of the Lido buffet and replaces one of the hot food option areas -- right across from the steps going up to the Rotissarie. John F Posted March 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2015 BlueHonu, I see where you were on the Western Caribbean trip. We are leaving on 4/19 on the same route and was wondering if you know when the ship had the repeat cruisers cocktail party??? The use to have it on the afternoon of the Roatan day. Also, did you happen to keep any of the Fun Times daily papers?? Would love to see them!! Many thanks. John F :)
thomas.snyder.7923 Posted March 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2015 I don't remember for sure. I think it was Roatan for the past guest party. If not it was Grand Cayman. We didn't save any fun times. I am happy to answer any questions.
