Roast Beef Sandwich

Forgive the possible repeat but does Quantum have the famous roast beef sandwich on board? If so, where can it be had. I love that sandwich!!!

Yes it is Cafe@270 it was our first stop when we boarded...

They are so good. That will be our first stop when we board next Sunday. We only had them once while on the quantum in January. Hmmm might be one of the reasons why we going back 😃

Just off March 13 Quantum. Roast beef sandwiches were served in Cafe Two70 everyday along with salad and some cakes. It's my dad's favorite for lunch.

 

It was our first stop on embarkation day.

 

Make sure you check the opening/closing times in the Cruise Compass….it is not open for dinner.

I bought the cookbook onboard just because it had the sandwich recipe in it and make my own whenever we are hurting for a Kummelweck

 

I get a whole strip loin and buns from Costco.

 

Sorry too lazy to write this out so I'll post a couple of pics and hopefully they are big enough for everyone to read. If not I'll repost them larger.

 

Make sure you use a meat thermometer to ensure the strip loin is perfectly cooked. It is amazing how close this is to the real thing.

Had them on the Quantum maiden transatlantic. Wow. A lot won't agree with me on this, but I like the beef a little but more well done and hot, and the chef always put some of the beef on the grill pan for me to cook it a little more and scalding hot! Yum!

For me, it's the buns that make the sandwich. Anything less than those salty, chewy, caraway seeded wonders is just another French Dip! [emoji1]
