Forest Fair in Girdwood - worth a stop or stay away?

We go down to Girdwood most years to the forest fair if the weather is good. It’s free although a bit inconvenient as you need to park at the day lodge and take a shuttle to the fair, which probably isn’t longer than 15 minutes from the time you park to the time they drop you at the fair. Local crafts, beer garden and some good local bands. It has that 60’s hippie vibe going on and there are some very good people watching areas. It’s a family event but keep an open mind if you go.

If you do an images search for “Girdwood Forest Fair” you’ll get a better idea of what the event and venue is like.

Thanks! I will look up some images and see. Sounds like fun, but also looks like something we can make a decision on that day if the mood strikes us or not. :) Glad I saw it before we went, it would have been quite the shock to think we were just going to stop by Girdwood for a bite to eat or the tram ride and run into that!
