cookiersmom Posted March 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) Has anyone done both (on 2 trips, not one day) ? I know that there is a long ride to Berlin. What is there to see in Warnemunde? Seems odd to miss one of the world's key capital cities. I can see staying in Warnemunde if you've been to Berlin before but if not? Sauer-kraut Posted March 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2015 Travelanni who is a resident expert for the Port of Rostock has a spectacular website http://travelanni.webs.com/ She has travel information for DYI trips from the port for those who choose not to go to Berlin. Also she has a very long thread here on CC http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1963750&highlight=ne+germany

Kkyykk Posted April 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2015 I was wondering the same thing. If we choose, as an example, Alla Tour's "12H BERLIN GRAND TOUR", the detailed itinary shows that you get an estimated 120 minutes in East Berlin and an additional 120 minutes in West Berlin. With 9 sites in the West, and 10 in the East, we can calculate that we will get approximately 13.3 minutes per site in the West and 12 minutes per site in the East. This includes getting on and off the bus, the drive from site to site and trying to get some good pics. I'd rather do Berlin on my own sometime in the future, but since we are in the region, and as you stated, how can we miss one of the world's key capital cities? I'd be interested in hearing what you have decided to do. Ken
