Cases weighted?

Of course, you can take as many cases as you like! This is a good option if you are not flying.

The cases are not weighed but if they were way over the limit, and therefore unsafe for the staff to lift, you could be called to the dock to repack your case. I have never heard of it happening. This wording covers the line in case someone goes over the top. Don't try to pack a steamer trunk, for example.

My cases would normally be a bit over the 20kg and no one ever complains. I can lift them into a car so I think they are okay.

When my friend tells me he'll stow away in my luggage, I point out to him that he can't do so unless he loses a lot of weight, because of that 20kg weight limit.

The airline weight limits are typically 50 lbs as opposed to above Cunard's 20kg (44 pounds) limit. Generally no one gets flagged at the pier for their luggage weight.

Well, that's certainly good to know!
