Just got my Select Level (152 points) not much is going to change, right?

Me 2, moved up to SELECT after our cruise last year. We will be sailing as a SELECT in April.

You will get additional perk, like complimentary pressing of two garments, special discount on a bag of laundry if your cruise is longer than 12 nights, biggest discount on the overpriced internet, and a few more.

Oh, I think they let us use the priority check in. But I think most of the passengers have this privilege, so the regular line could be faster.

Check out the benefits for Captain Club on Celebrity's website.

Basically nothing will change. Most of the perks are fluff and there are really too many with a status that gives "prioritys" to really make it a perk.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌞

I am wondering how do you earn so many points, I am new celebrity cruiser and it just seems to me like it is going to take so long to get any type of perks. Give me your tips.

Cruise More! Based on on number of days and the type of room...

It all depends on the cabin category you book. For the same 7 night cruise you could earn anywhere from 2 points per night for an inside cabin (2 points per night x 7 nights = 14 Captains Club Points) to 18 points per night for the Penthouse Suite or Reflection Suite (available only on Celebrity Reflection (18 points per night x 7 nights = 126 Captains Club Points).

Here's a link that explains the points structure and how you earn points.

I should also mention that there have occasionally been booking incentives that have offered extra Captains Club Points for current members. They are not seen often, though, so if they pop up they will be be thoroughly discussed here on the board. I snagged 25 Bonus Points on a cruise I took last December and will earn 50 Bonus Points for a cruise we have coming up in April. The 50 Bonus Points required booking a suite. I think that offer was presented last May or June.

Did you just receive those bonus points or did you have to fight for them?

We were supposed to get them on a cruise this last February and they're not in my account.

I, of course, can't find any written proof that I was supposed to get them but I'm POSITIVE that I booked while this offer was valid.

Took me 5 cruises to get there. Anybody know if my 7 days on RCCL can be credited?

I didn't have to "fight", but I did call Captain's Club about a week after the regularly expected points had posted and there was no sign of the additional 25 points. All it took was one call, and the representative was happy to help me. There was no pretending they didn't know anything about bonus points or anything like that. He looked it up and promised the bonus would show on our account within the week. It was easy, and I didn't have to come up with any proof.

Thank you - I"m on hold with them right now. Will let you know what happens.

You'll have no issues getting your points. May take a month and if you don't see them simply call. If you go on the Celebrity sight you will see the levels and how the levels transfer to Royal but points on X are points on X and points on a Royal are points on Royal. The levels do transfer and the sight breaks down for you.

If you google Celebrity Captains Club Bonus Points and the year you booked all the announcements will come up so you can check it. Then call the Captains Club number.

There are actually some nice benefits being Select. You get invited to the Senior Officer Cocktail Party in addition to Captains Club.

You get a free wine tasting which we have really enjoyed.

You also get some coupons for free gelato, $5 match play in the casino This actually got us to the casino and the roulette wheel for the first time!) and some other I don't remember, and as mentioned, a discount on an Internet package.

As others have said it all depends on length or cruise & class of cabin you cruise in... Also look out for bonus points on offer to book certain cruises between certain dates... I don't think there are any on offer at the moment but with celebrity's promo program they do have offers quite regularly!

Personally our first cruise was in December 2012 and we have just returned from our 5th celebrity cruise and are now "Elite" for our next cruise in May... we have well and truly been bitten by the cruising bug so struggle to do any other kind of holiday and as we don't have children to fund we are quite lucky to be able to have 2/3 cruises a year! :D

Happy sailing :)

That is correct. Only the current 123go! promo has the 25 bonus points. Must book June 2 - July 31, 2014 and at least 9 months prior to the cruise. If you booked under an earlier promo, you would have to re-book at the current pricing in order to get the benefits of this one.

(There was a promotion last fall that offered bonus points for booking Aqua or higher. Perhaps that is what those who received bonus points for the spring cruises are referring to???)

I did as you suggested and the above is the closest I could find to a confirmation. (Any link to Celebrity brings me to a current page).

I spent about 45 minutes on hold and then another 20 -25 minutes on the phone with the rep. She couldn't find any confirmation but said she was going to email in a request for the points (to whom? isn't SHE a representative of Celebrity? ) and would let me know the resolution.

After spending a long time on our last cruise trying to get our drink package confirmed (successful) and OBC confirmed (UNsuccessful) I now know to print out everything. (I had the printout of the drink package and OBC but it only helped with the drink package - which they said they were giving us as a "favor" )

Wish me luck........

chamima - The rep you spoke to definately could not credit points to your captian's club account. She works for Celebrity, but does not have the authority to credit points. That other epartent can verify exactly when you booked and credit you.

Also RCCL points do not combine with X points. Only combining is vfor Diamond Status on RCCL if you are Elite and a couple other status matches. Think Azamara is still issing X points.

Chamina, I believe it was a Sunday when I called too, and the rep I talked to told me the woman who awards the bonus points was away from her desk, but that she would get to the request in a couple of days. I think I remember it taking about 4-5 days before I noticed that the points had been awarded. I think you'll be good! Sorry you had such long waits. My experience was much more positive.

We did book a 14 day cruise while onboard so that will add to my points....:):):)
