HOw are they? are they kid friendly? i keep reading about people sitting on their balconies as the ship sails away so i'm wondering if its not that big of a deal? we've only done disney, and their sailaway parties are not to be missed. our getaway cruise next feb is our first cruise with a balcony so should we just stay there and enjoy the view? any thoughts on families with young kids? kids will be 5 & 6 when we cruise. tia!

There will be music and dancing on the pool deck with the entertainment staff. It might be likely that the slides will be open so the children might want to do that too. Be sure to get them registered for Splash Academy early as well. You can tour the area, this will be the only time parents are allowed to enter there.
