bfamily4 Posted March 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2015 HOw are they? are they kid friendly? i keep reading about people sitting on their balconies as the ship sails away so i'm wondering if its not that big of a deal? we've only done disney, and their sailaway parties are not to be missed. our getaway cruise next feb is our first cruise with a balcony so should we just stay there and enjoy the view? any thoughts on families with young kids? kids will be 5 & 6 when we cruise. tia! Sauer-kraut Posted March 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) There will be music and dancing on the pool deck with the entertainment staff. It might be likely that the slides will be open so the children might want to do that too. Be sure to get them registered for Splash Academy early as well. You can tour the area, this will be the only time parents are allowed to enter there. Edited March 22, 2015 by Sauer-kraut
backsbanny Posted March 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2015 I always stay on my balcony having a cocktail watching the sailaway thats one of the most relaxing moments of the cruise for me
Rare KeithJenner Posted March 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2015 I wouldn't take the fact that some people prefer to be elsewhere as any indication as to how good the sail away party is. Many of us just aren't fussed about these parties, however good they are.
