Adventure Questions

Thinking about the Adventure for next year for the southern route but am a bit concerned about going on an older ship after doing the freedom, oasis and independence the last 5 yrs (on independence right now). Will I be disappointed? And, a silly question, but are the balconies glad or metal on the bottom (I like being able to be in bed and see the water out the window through the glass balconies on Oasis, Freedom and Radiance class).

Don't worry I felt the same as you after being on my past cruises. I will just miss things like Boardwalk and Central Park

Jewel is sailing thru March 2016. This ship has the glass and views you desire. Yes it is smaller, but that can be good thing. No lines getting on and off.....

Just my opinion but I would suggest avoiding deck 6 balconies altogether. They are horrible. Like being stuck in a tin can.

I agree. You can never get a view of the water from a seated position; you always have to be standing at the rail. Personally, eeeeewwww.... :(

Thanks everyone. Jewel stops a bit too early for our kids spring break. What does half metal half glass look like? I assume the ship is pretty much like the Freedom class but without an H2O zone mid-ship?

I thought I would miss Central Park and the Boardwalk going back to freedom class - but I'm good with freedom class (although the roast beef sandwiches are surely missed).

So I booked 7214 (because it is a connecting room). Are the balconies in the very front of the ship okay? I know on Freedom class they are glass facing the bow. Looks like that doesn't exist in Voyager class. So, is the very stern okay or should I find another room?

I'll be in 7240 right down the hall from you near the elevators, but I'm not certain about cabins as far forward as yours. Based on the deck plan, it doesn't appear that your cabin would be any different. Don't know for certain.
