Freckles_51 Posted April 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Is the free bottle of wine on first night only offered in the Steakhouse, or in other pay restaurants as well?

tkportersat Posted April 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Also in Cucina del Capitano. We were just on the Magic and ate at the steakhouse the second night and they were offering the free bottle of wine then as well. Not sure if that is all ships or for how long they will be doing that. Is the free bottle of wine on first night only offered in the Steakhouse, or in other pay restaurants as well? Rare sparks1093 Posted April 3, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Do they offer this in ports where they depart really late? (Such as San Juan with a 10pm departure.)

tkportersat Posted April 3, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 3, 2015 I want to say I saw mention of it in the Funtimes...other than that I heard about it on here. I think whoever posted it on here got the information from John Heald's Facebook page. Do you know if it is advertised somewhere....on Carnival's web site? Freckles_51 Posted April 3, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Here is the thread I saw: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2069163&highlight=free+wine Thanks! We just loved Cucina on the Breeze and in our opinion was much better value and atmosphere than the Steakhouse! Looking forward to more Italian on the Sunshine :)
thomarvin Posted April 3, 2015 #11 Share Posted April 3, 2015 I know it is one bottle of wine per reservation but we have a table for 12. Has anyone else reserved for a big party and got more than one bottle?
tkportersat Posted April 3, 2015 #12 Share Posted April 3, 2015 On that other thread someone stated that it was "per cabin". So if a group of you goes, I would just make sure you are clear with the waitress before you order. I know it is one bottle of wine per reservation but we have a table for 12. nwcruiselover Posted April 4, 2015 #13 Share Posted April 4, 2015 I was on the Sunshine with a group of 12, which we had to split into 4 tables. Since some were solo, there were 8 cabins represented. They were adamant about giving us only one bottle of wine per table.
Constipated Cruiser Posted April 4, 2015 #14 Share Posted April 4, 2015 Do they offer this in ports where they depart really late? (Such as San Juan with a 10pm departure.) Yes, either the free bottle or 50% off any other bottles you purchase there. We did the steakhouse the first evening back in January. It was actually pretty nice with the view of San Juan at sunset. Constipated Cruiser Posted April 4, 2015 #15 Share Posted April 4, 2015 Per JH, the free bottle is supposed to be the first night and the first formal night, although I understand some ships are still not doing the first formal night. It's always best to ask beforehand.
