Comfort Inn - FLL

This will be our first time in the FLL area. We are arriving Jan 6/05 for a Jan 7 sailing out of Miami.

 

My TA has booked us a room at the Comfort Inn - she has already warned us it is no frills and is nothing special, so I am ready for that.

 

She has also told me that our room rate includes airport transfers and Miami Port transfers.

 

Also, what is around the CI? As is dining and shopping?

 

How far is it from the FLL airport and the Miami Port?

If this is the one on Sterling Road, yes, I have stayed here and its perfectly find for a pre or post cruise stay.

 

I agree with your TA, nothing lavish at this hotel, but I found it to be clean and fine.

 

They do, however, have a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel and a free breakfast buffet the next morning. I used their shuttle service to the pier in FLL, not sure how the shuttle works to Miami.

 

I arrived at the hotel late, so we didn't venture out anywhere, but there is a restaurant on site.

Yes, it is the one on Sterling Ave. Do you mind me asking what you paid a night?

 

I am not sure what time we will be flying in yet - waiting for SWA to open their dates past Jan 9/06.

 

Did you call ahead for a shuttle time to the Port or wait until you got to the hotel?
