dee66 Posted April 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2015 Hi, We are taking a cruise to the Norway Fjords and visiting the following. Copenhagen, Denmark Stavanger, Norway Alesund, Norway Geiranger, Norway Molde, Norway Olden, Norway Bergen, Norway Which side of the ship would offer the best views for the trip. Thanks for your input.
CruiserBruce Posted April 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2015 Top side is the important side. Side doesn't matter. Scenery is 360 degrees, and big picture type scenery. Not the type you need to be in one magic spot for exactly 2 minutes to see the sights.
eandj Posted April 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Agree. I don't even remember which side we were on. The scenery is so LARGE and impressive when you go thru fjords, where you port isn't important. Get off the ship and go inland on the trains, small boats and tours to see the area. Unfortunately there aren't a NY private tours in some areas. So ship tours are the only way to go for most stops. dsrdsrdsr Posted April 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2015 You go out the same way you go in, by and large, so if the scenery is on the left on the way in it will be on the right on the way out. But as you will discover for yourself when the time comes, the scenery is mostly on both sides so the best views are on the open deck where you can move from side to side.
