Captain Caribbean Kid Posted April 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2015 On some cruise lines if you book in advance the have a lowest price guarantee and will give you cheaper price if you exact category price drops during. This guarantee often expires 60 days before sail date, so that if the price drops say on 45 days til the ship sails you're not guarantee. I tried to find this information at the Holland American site but couldn't. Does anybody know if they offer a lowest price guarantee and at what point is it no longer valid (30day to sail? 60 days?) SilvertoGold Posted April 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2015 If the pricing decreases before final payment (various dates), you can "refare" your booking to that price. Final payment can be anywhere from 60 to 120 days out. After final payment, it is hit or miss. Sometimes you can get some OBC, but you can't normally "refare". HAL allows you to cancel a booking before final payment with no obligation (except to your TA, perhaps).
OVgirl Posted April 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Holland America does not have a lowest price guarantee. If you find lower pricing and have your booking refared, you will sometimes loose promos that were included in your original booking. You will have to look for price drops as they will not automatically give it to you. Edited April 5, 2015 by OVgirl
