Taking Camera on Princess Land/Cruise

We are going on a land/cruise on the Princess Cruise Ship and I would like to take my Digital (DSLR) camera and a few lenses. My camera bag is a backpack and would be a carry on. From what I'm reading, when you are being transported on the rail to the lodge you are only allowed one carry on that goes under your seat. Does that mean I can't take another bag for my clothes? Has anyone been on this trip and could advise me if I should take my large digital camera or should I just stick with a small point and shoot?

By all means take the DSLR. There is not a lot of room on the train for extra bags but you can always make room for the camera. Your clothes can always go with the rest of the baggage that is sometimes transported by truck and other times by train.
