Embarkation Question

My DD and I are sailing on the Valor on Sunday, April 12. We both received calls today giving us time frames to check in. We're in the same cabin, booked under the same reservation number but they gave us different times. I understand the concept of trying to stagger arrivals at the port to check in but how rigid, if at all, are they about the time? Since we're traveling together why would we arrive a couple of hours apart? Anyone else had experience with this?

Go whenever you want. Those emails/calls are just their attempt to keep everybody from checking in at the same time. Doesn't matter what they tell you. Check in times are not assigned.
