"Never again will I cruise with Carnival.."

Recommended Posts

So we see some reviews on here where people have such a bad time they swear off Carnival forever. So how about some follow-up.. Have you ever sworn off Carnival? If so, did you stick with it? If not, what changed your mind?

Never said never Carnival again. They are great. I am 5 for 5. All great cruises. The staff is always great. The food it great too. Nice pricing and nice sized cabins. I have thought, anyway, never NCL again, but am planning my next cruise on them. Maybe 3rd time is the charm? We will see.

Happy cruising to all of you folks.

We had pretty much decided "no more Carnival for us" after our Conquest cruise. Shows weren't as good (they were the "new" ones with no live band, etc.), food wasn't as good, etc. so we just thought we would try a few different lines instead.

But. We did go on another Carnival cruise this past February, at the invitation of our granddaughter. She wanted to do something special to celebrate her college graduation and asked us and her Dad and step-Mom to go along. She chose the Carnival Paradise, a 5 night cruise out of Tampa. How could we say no? We couldn't, of course!

But. We had a wonderful time!! Yes, the ship is an older one but we thought it was clean and well maintained. The crew were wonderful (especially the cruise director - wow could he play that fiddle!!), the food was surprisingly good, the shows were wonderful (the "old" ones with live band, etc.), I finally won that coveted "ship on a stick", and we were with FAMILY! :)

So, although we had decided "no more Carnival" for us, we did go back. :) I would go on the Paradise again in a heartbeat. Doubt I would do the Conquest again though.

Welcome back. I had a wonderful time on a 4 night cruise from Tampa on Paradise. Great times. I wasn't as pleased on Freedom (Conquest class) as I have been on the other Carnival ships. Not bad, just not as good as the other four. Just something about that ship. But Freedom was still a great cruise.

After a disaster trip on Destiny and springing for a suite that was flooded for a week, I've been solid Princess with no return for the wife and I. Next year a bunch of FB friends, that have never met, are going on Conquest, due to some logistics and budgets but then back to Princess for us. I do not like the atmosphere of Carnival and get 2 smokefree casino nights with Princess. Plus 1 more trip to Platinum and good benefits.

I swore off Carnival until they changed their smoking policy. Now I'm looking to plan 2 Carnival cruises soon. Probably 1 in November and 1 in January. I'm elated with their change in policy. We did go on a Carnival cruise shortly after they changed the policy. Looking to go again.

When some people say they'll NEVER cruise on Carnival again, they Never do so we Never hear back from them. :o

That's far better than coming back to this board to bash a cruise line that is no longer of interest to them. ;)
