Koningsdam Dining Options

Been looking at several sailings and for every one, the only dining option listed as available is open seating. I called the office who stated this was because the sailings were segments- but not all are. Was curious if anyone has successfully booked early or main dining on the Koningsdam?

Booked a 24-day Collector's Cruise for Sept 2016 and waitlisted for late dining. Dining arrangements are closed as sailing is so far away but will eventually open and you can request your choice then.

This has been my experience as well. For whatever reason for sailings that are some time in the distant future, they do not open the seating assignments at the same time the books are open for stateroom reservations. Seems to be SOP for HAL.

Thanks for the responses- my thought was also that they may not yet have a finite number of available tables until construction is further along.

We booked the Midnight Sun Cruise in mid-Feb and we unable to get first seating, only open seating available for July 2016 cruise. Disappointed but will survive.

Too early for seatings to be assigned for a cruise so far away. Check again around January, 2016 or, maybe even before, and seating assignments may be open at that time.
