Early Saver and Resident rates

I have used Early Saver for a couple of cruises so far. However, I have one question that I haven't found an answer for. When I check fareviewer if the "resident" rate is cheaper, how do I know what state you have to be a resident of to qualify for it? I have went to do an actual booking and it will let me get to the put in your personal info so does that mean I do? or is the fact it even shows me the resident rate means I qualify?

When you use fareviewer, don't you put in the state you are from?

Yes! OP, when using fareviewer you put in your state of residence where it says state.

I thought it should only give me that rate if my state was eligible but wasn't sure. Now they have denied it so I guess I will call them.

You have to put your state in to see if you are eligible.

I don't use "fare viewer" . I just do a mock booking on the Carnival site as that has spaces to put in all the possibilities.

There is a spot on FareViewer for you to put in your state.
