Caves with tweens

Hi,

We'd like to do the Caves with our tweens. How far are they from the Dockyards? And also, how long should we plan to spend there? any other advise would be appreciated! We're going in July.

We did one cave and that was fine. We got there around 3pm and waited about 20 minutes for the next group to go in. Maybe 1/2 hour in the cave? Probably an hour to do 1 cave if you don't have to wait to go in.

 

July is busy so if you go midday, say 10am to 2pm, you may have to wait a bit to enter the cave. They allow X number of people in each group. I would probably allow 1 1/2 hours for 1 cave, 2 or 2 1/2 hours for 2. Plus the time to get there.
