Bags checks when leaving ship at port?

Just curious if the bags are checked as we leave the ship every time? We'd like to pack a light snack/water etc. Usually it's not a problem but if Bermuda is strict about it and insist on xraying the bags it's not worth it :-)

They do random checks of bags. Factory packaged snacks and bottled water are fine, but if they catch you with anything else it will probably be taken away.

 

Your bags will always be xrayed by the ship's personnel when you reboard, not when you disembark.

Even if your bags would not be checked, please be mindful of Bermuda's laws and take only prepackaged food items.:)

And don't forget the $500 fine if you get caught taking fruit and such ashore .
