French air traffic controllers strike

If not resolved before there is a 4day strike planned starting 29th April. The day we fly to Genoa to join oceana. I will ask P&O but wondered if anyone here knows what's likely to happen if we can't fly because of the strike. We're only cruising for one week so getting there 4 days late won't be much fun

You won't not be able to fly, they will simply route round France, possibly over Germany and down, or possibly go oceanic. There might be delays though.

They will re-route the flight. Friends have just flown back from Spain. The plane went westward around France to Ireland and then south east to Gatwick.

I spoke with P&O 5 minutes ago and they will simply re-route over Germany if they have to.:) We are on that cruise you mentioned flying from Manchester.

Hi, we had the same issue on the 8th when we flew out and there was no problem at all - we went round France a bit. I think we had a 15 minute delay. :)
