Calling home

I have searched the boards and can not seem to find a post with a list of public pay phones in Grand Cayman, near the port. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are a few pay phones near the North and South terminals. I'm sure there are a few at the Royal Watler too. But pay phones are expensive!

 

The preferred method is to make a call using Skype, very cheap to do if you have a wifi capable cell phone. You can get a wifi connection at many spots around town.

Unfortunately, I will not have my cell phone. Was just wanting to make a quick call home to check on things, while we are in port for the day. Thank you for your advice.

If you are going to use the pay phone, buy an international calling card AT THE PORT where you'll be using it (do NOT buy the card at home!)...it might be a cheaper option!

Do you have a cell phone? That ought to work and should be cheaper than calling from ship. I always call home from each port. Call your cell phone provider before leaving home and ask for specific directions and roaming capabilities.
