SelfCheckoutGuy Posted April 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2015 I was looking at booking a drink package prior to boarding and noticed that there was a "Service Charge". In the case of the unlimited sodas it was $4.68. Is there this same service charge if I just buy the package when I get onboard, or is this just an online charge? GUT2407 Posted April 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2015 $4.68 seems a bit low is it a really short cruise?
Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted April 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2015 $4.68 seems a bit low is it a really short cruise? Wake up, GUT2407 :D. Package is quoted per day so service charge would also be per day. :p

Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted April 19, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) By the way nearly arced up till I saw who was telling me to "Wake up" GUT ROTFLMAO. Didn't realise you were so easy to arc up :D I think the soft drink packages were about that price on our cruise. Can't remember exactly but I do recall noticing that they were ridiculously high. Also included speciality coffees and mocktails so wouldn't be hard to rack up $26 worth. Edited April 19, 2015 by OzKiwiJJ

nolesrule Posted April 19, 2015 #10 Share Posted April 19, 2015 The soda-only package is $6.50/day. On the 4 night Enchantment cruise that the OP is going on, that's $26... plus 18% gratuity, which is $4.68. The non-alcohol beverage package is coming up on my cruise planner at $19/day + 18%. nolesrule Posted April 19, 2015 #18 Share Posted April 19, 2015 But I think $19 for the non-alcoholic is a bit steep I don't. I've been getting it since it was introduced in 2013. Of course, it used to be a flat $20/day, now it's $22.42 ($19 + 18%). My daily beverage intake usually consists of 2 glasses of OJ with breakfast, 3-4 sodas throughout the day, 1-2 specialty coffees, 2-3 bottles of sparkling water, and a non-alcoholic pina colada. Sometimes I grab a bottle of regular water to take off the ship on a port day. That's somewhere in the neighborhood of $30/day before gratuities. mollyeilis Posted April 19, 2015 #21 Share Posted April 19, 2015 But I think $19 for the non-alcoholic is a bit steep Espresso drinks (frappucinos, lattes, mochas, etc), Tazo tea, bottled water, sparkling water, fresh squeezed OJ in the morning, soda.... Seems worth it to me, if you can drink that much!
