rochelle mentioned in her list about no more discounts for suites. Can some one explain that to me. what they did in the past. thanks

When I booked with CAS...I would get a discount (%) on my reservation...from insides to suite...last month I was told CAS no longer discounts suites.

FYI - Some keep saying what they got/received on their last cruise HOWEVER, if your cruise was PRIOR to April 1st, 2015 it doesn't matter.

New rules as of April 1, 2015.

Also, as a side note.....Lucky receives NO drinks unless it's a perk from CAS for booking a room through them. If you just go to the host and sign up you are lucky....and will get no drinks until you reach HOT.

new rules on Lucky: u don't get a drink card even if you are signing up through cas unless your room is OV or better

so if I have a comp inside and want to upgrade to suite or haven ,I would pay the upgrade fee instead.?

Rochelle, good job collecting all of the above changes.

I would like to add a few more::mad:

* Platinum members

Two Platinum members in same cabin, only one small box of chocolates per cabin

Two Platinum members in same cabin, only one bottle of champagne per cabin

Two Platinum members in same cabin, only one voucher for a specialty restaurant, but it is for both latitudes members

Wallygator

The platinum perk has always been one box of chocolates per cabin, one bottle of champagne per cabin, one plate of chocolate covered strawberries per cabin.

We just got off the Jewel and we had two vouchers as usual for the specialty restaurant, one with my name, one with hubby's name.

Another poster posted that they only got one letter (addressed to both of them) for the specialty restaurant, but they could make a reservation in each of their names, so they, like you, got two dinners.

And on my November cruise, the cabin next to mine (platinum couple in a non-suite) only got one bottle of sparkling wine (wasn't called champagne because it was not made in the Champagne region and only sparkling wines made in that region can be called Champagne according to trade laws), since I didn't want mine, I gave it to them.

True, but the cut down on the size of the box of chocolates so you're getting less and they cut down on the number of covered strawberries. Some, I've heard, are getting sparkling wine instead of champagne.

Yes the upgrade fee is apparently still in place. Just the discount on suites is no longer available.

Rochelle

thank you

I'm glad I booked last Aug for my 2016 trip on the gem . I leave for Bermuda in 19 days and am supposedly to be Hot. That was from the my cas pcc. so I will see what happens. Last aug was on the gem and had the comp dinner but we never got the wine don't know why. also in jan on the 2 day cruise got the dinner but no wine.

Monkeybone, you just burst my bubble! :o I will be on the Breakaway in July and I am in a Haven spa Suite, so I automatically get the Ultimate Dining, but I was planning on getting that free Cirque Dinner the 1st night! So now I guess I can go ahead and book something else, since it won't be free in July! :( I had asked when I called and they told me I would get it free on the first night only, but I guess the rep's don't know the rules! I also wanted to book Cagney's and they don't show as being able to book that restaurant! Do y'all know if that is still an option to book and why it isn't showing? Thanks

NCL posted that the reservations are stopped because it was part of the NEXT program and they are bringing out an enhanced menu. Now what that means exactly is anyone's guess.

Curious why they would stop taking reservations for a simple menu change? When they enhanced the room service menu that meant more fees. Another item we will have to wait and see about.

Rochelle, thank you for your response! I am hoping that Cagney's is still included in the Ultimate dining! :o They keep taking everything away! :(

I can't see how they could possible take it away from the UDP. I think that would deter anyone from purchasing the UDP. It would be really hard to justify the cost with the few remaining included options, unless someone was to purchase it because it gets a discount at the non-included fee options. The toop value for sinner with the package would then be $175 at that would be eating every night in Teppanyaki.

If I were to hazard a guest I would say they are going to add some items that will incur an additional fee, regardless if you have the package or not. By closing off the reservations they can add the changes and adjust the fine print. Then there wold be no one who could say they had their reservations before the changes were put in place. Just a guess though on my part.
