pls5286 Posted April 25, 2015 #51 Share Posted April 25, 2015 I love how NCL accommodates my 4 year old with a life threatening latex allergy, keeping her safe while maintaining the balloons for all of the other guests. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thank you for the reassurance about allergies. I have a pretty nasty food allergy and have been kinda leary with it. Any artificial sweeteners and I begin having problems and no dr in their right mind would allow me to stay on the ship once things start acting up. esp13 Posted April 25, 2015 #52 Share Posted April 25, 2015 Thank you for posting this thread. I am going to be taking my first NCL Cruise (5th overall) in just under 2 months for my honeymoon and had been 2nd guessing our decision to sail, due to all of the negative feedback I have been seeing on the boards. I do have a question about the Dressy or not night. We will have our wedding clothes with us (but they are not traditional wedding attire. I am wearing a purple knee length dress and cowboy boots, he is wearing black jeans, purple shirt, boots, and string tie.) Will we stand out or look awkward? We want to get a few pics taken of us dressed in our wedding clothes. No, you won't be awkward at all. Many people dress up on Dress up or not night. You will see everything from tuxes and gowns to very casual. You'll fit right in with your wedding clothes. And Congratulations! Hope you have a great trip. That is an awesome idea, to wear your wedding clothes and have formal portraits done.
Txfeenix Posted April 25, 2015 #54 Share Posted April 25, 2015 Best about NCL cruises: FREESTYLE everything!! Fits our lifestyle perfectly! Eat when we are hungry, where we want to and alone, wearing jeans/shorts; being comfortable yet fitting in wherever we go. Only done 2 cruises, both with NCL. DH and I were in our early 50s before our 1st cruise which was spur of the moment. Always wanted to cruise but the whole "formal" thing was a big turnoff. We like nice things & can afford them but we aren't "dressy" people. On NCL I actually feel like I'm on vacation but at home!
