marci22 Posted May 6, 2015 #26 Share Posted May 6, 2015 When I first read through this, it seemed that food/snacks would be provided. I guess they only provide the marshmallows and rum swizzles. Guided Walk: Stroll through King’s Wharf and past the Royal Naval Dockyard while learning about Bermuda’s history and culture. Snorkel Park Beach: Relax along the shore at a festive bonfire bash and enjoy complimentary rum swizzles, Bermuda’s national cocktail. Free Time: Watch the sunset, roast marshmallows in a bonfire, dance to DJ music, or dine on authentic island delicacies.
SportsFanatic Posted May 7, 2015 #27 Share Posted May 7, 2015 We are thinking of doing this excursion with the tour and free drinks. Does anyone know if they supply chairs for the beach?
dvond Posted May 7, 2015 #28 Share Posted May 7, 2015 I thought I read it was moved to Wednesday? Is this not the case and if anyone has gone, could you let me know how it was?

nannyny Posted May 11, 2015 #31 Share Posted May 11, 2015 We will be there in June during National Heroes weekend. I am hopeful they will keep the bonfire on schedule. We have taken the no. 7 to Horseshoe Bay, lovely scenic ride.
taytaysmom1019 Posted May 11, 2015 #32 Share Posted May 11, 2015 I was in Bermuda last week on the Breakaway and the snorkel park bonfire nights were a disappointment. We docked Wednesday and showed up past 10 on Wednesday night and was told it was $10 to enter a cheesy nightclub which was empty and to come back Thursday night from 7 to 10 PM for a free bonfire, free entry and hamburgers and hotdogs on the beach. We came back Thursday night and there was no bonfire, we could enter for free but it was a nightclub atmosphere and again it was pretty much empty. No one seemed to know about a bonfire. I'manewbie Posted May 11, 2015 #33 Share Posted May 11, 2015 I searched on youtube for "Snorkel Park Beach Bermuda Island Beach Party" and there is a lengthy video up of the event. Not exactly the way I'd want to spend my time ...certainly not for $40 per person.

It gives a link to the schedule of events, and that schedule says the bonfire is on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
gail-s Posted May 20, 2015 #36 Share Posted May 20, 2015 I'm confused, looking at the link from the Dockyard, it says that the Bonfires and DJ on the beach are free?
taytaysmom1019 Posted May 20, 2015 #37 Share Posted May 20, 2015 At 10 PM the bonfire is over and it switches to a nightclub that is a $10 per person admission. But when we were there two weeks ago we didn't see the bonfire. Hopefully as summer progresses the activities will pick up. Snorkel park is definitely the least of the attractions on the island though. Walk-through and check it out during the day but it's definitely not the best place to go to the beach. denatravels Posted August 19, 2015 #38 Share Posted August 19, 2015 I know that Royal Caribbean has cancelled this excursion, but can anyone comment on whether this is still happening on the beach?
