Carry-on & Check-in luggage

Hi we're travelling on the Pearl from Akl this Friday. We'd like to take all our luggage on ourselves instead of checking it in & waiting to receive it to unpack. We've been able to do this with Carnival out of Sydney but P & O's website just mentions checking it in.

 

We'll just have 2 soft rolling bags.

 

Trying to figure out whether I need to pack more in our backpacks to tide us over if we have to check the rolling bags in (to keep our kids amused).

Whilst you cold carry it on yourself I have found it quick and easy to have it delivered to your stateroom especially once you consider the x-ray machines, etc. which is annoying enough with just a backpack.

we have just taken carry-on once planned and once unplanned (don't ask...lol!) it was all ok but wondered if it DOES save time in the end!

We have taken just carry on, not a problem.

 

Would never do it again though, why when everything is delivered to your cabin so easily.

 

Carry off is a different issue, did that once too, but only because we were in a hurry after the cruise, now I always try o have that day free so I can disembark as late as possible and squeeze every second out of my cruise.
