ClevedonMum Posted May 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2015 Hi we're travelling on the Pearl from Akl this Friday. We'd like to take all our luggage on ourselves instead of checking it in & waiting to receive it to unpack. We've been able to do this with Carnival out of Sydney but P & O's website just mentions checking it in. We'll just have 2 soft rolling bags. Trying to figure out whether I need to pack more in our backpacks to tide us over if we have to check the rolling bags in (to keep our kids amused). Looking forward to your advice :)
tomatosauce Posted May 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2015 Whilst you cold carry it on yourself I have found it quick and easy to have it delivered to your stateroom especially once you consider the x-ray machines, etc. which is annoying enough with just a backpack. bubbles2014 Posted May 6, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2015 we have just taken carry-on once planned and once unplanned (don't ask...lol!) it was all ok but wondered if it DOES save time in the end!
GUT2407 Posted May 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2015 We have taken just carry on, not a problem. Would never do it again though, why when everything is delivered to your cabin so easily. Carry off is a different issue, did that once too, but only because we were in a hurry after the cruise, now I always try o have that day free so I can disembark as late as possible and squeeze every second out of my cruise.
