Hi, Wondering is any one arriving from England for a pre cruise 3 night stay in Grand Hyatt hotel.

Also if we want to give extra tips to bar staff etc will English coins be ok?

Sorry but why on earth would you tip in ££. The currency of Dubai is the AED. :confused: And you don't really need to tip in Dubai anyway.

I've been looking at this hotel for next March so will be interested in any information on your stay.

 

Stayed at this hotel last 3 Dubai cruises and back again next march. Fantastic hotel not modern but very very nice spotless rooms good and spa and pool area great. Has lovely gardens. Nice walk to waffi mall an plenty taxis to get anywhere you want at very cheap prices. It's very individual nd lots of restaurants but a bi pricey you will love it

Am on board Rhapsody right now and will be on the 17th for your cruise too..... surfing a bit difficult right now (I've a live blog on this board too) but there is a roll call for the cruise if you go look for it..... there may be others there staying at the same hotel.

Aha. As the ship is coming no where near the UK then I do not think you should tip in ££ as it will be of no use to the staff at all. I see Rhapsody is based for the summer season in Europe perhaps €€ will be a safer option.

Just wondering why you don't want $$? They are the currency on board and especially in the casino.

 

ps: she is a 'ship' not a boat!:D

Not technical minded boat or ship as long as it floats. Guess I will stick with the pre paid gratuity . :cool:
